Summer is Dubai: 4 win all-expense-paid family trip

Four lucky Facebook fans of the ‘Summer is Dubai’ page have won a free, all-expense-paid family trip to Dubai this summer.

They were selected from a host of entries as part of the Facebook competition.

Rabiaa Badrakhan from Pakistan, Nada Yakoub from Saudi Arabia, Amira Mohamad from Egypt and Rebecca Gonzalez from Spain are the four winners.

The unique ‘Summer is Dubai’ campaign is run by the Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment (DFRE), an agency of Dubai’s Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM).

It will be hosted until September 7.

The Facebook contest required the participants to provide images, videos or short write-ups to complete the slogan - “summer is …”.

The ‘Summer is Dubai’ Facebook page received thousands of entries from around the world.

In the four weeks that the competition lasted, one winner was selected for each week.

Two of the winning entries were photographs, one a video and the fourth a write-up.

The prize includes airline tickets and stay at a 5-star hotel of the Dubai-based Jumeirah Group.

The three-month-long ‘Summer is Dubai’ campaign hopes to set Dubai as a summer destination. It will also feature the Dubai Summer Surprises, Modhesh World, “Ramadan in Dubai” and “Eid in Dubai”.
